Kept to their promise on time
The waiting list for a service with a loan car is extremely long. Had to rent a car for £100 plus. In some places (eg Cardiff) they made a deal with the near buy rentals to facilitate providing loan cars.
Professional staff , nice surroundings , easy to check the vehicle in , a call when the service was completed , car washed and valeted , all the work carried out explained.
Disappointing that they didn't investigate fully as the battery discharged in less that 24 hours.
Improvement with regards to timekeeping. The time the customer is told their car is going to be ready could be better as each time my vehicle has been in for a service it has always been ready later than I have been informed during the drop off.
Didn't give me copy of service details. Car had warning sign when left. As it turns out was just tyre pressure resetting do no problem.

When I took my car to be valeted, I had to wait longer than I had anticipated.
No courtesy cars are available. £6 is provided for a taxi but that isn't enough to get to the train station.

At Williams Liverpool I was made to feel like I was causing them hassle when booking my car in. At Halliwell Jones I was made to feel welcome. The feedback I recieved from the sercixe assistant was great

Direct conversation with staff member during delivery and collection was friendly and efficient . On arrival in both cases was directed to take a seat without any indication of expected time before these conversations .
Waiting area is comfortable with wifi, complimentary drinks with snacks at low price while waiting.

Only disappointing thing this time was that i was not given pick up and drop service like last two years.

Actual service was great some issues booking and with time slots
Recall work completed with explanation that three bolts replaced, I felt that more detail could have been provided but still selected complete satisfaction. Car was returned fully cleaned and placed for me to immediately drive away.

was told my car was ready 3.30, turned up at 4.00, picked my car up at 5.30. Just left in the service area whilst most people went home! Very poor.

The service I received was first class.
Disappointing that you have stopped the taxi service / drop off this year especially bearing in mind that a courtesy car is rarely available and and your distance from Chester City Centre.
It would have been good to know before arriving that additional work was required (updates to software etc.) that would add to the service time. However the facilities available while I waited were great.

When I was given the car, firstly it was a Mini and the representative told me that I should have had a BMW but the customer had not yet brought it back in. I got in the car and had only 14 miles of petrol so I had to stop which made me late for work
It was ready before the promised time and everything was professional. As nothing needed doing except and oil and filter change I cannot comment on the quality of the work

I was passed between BMW UK and Halliwell Jones for months, with no resolution.
I got the feeling that everyone at haliwell jones were doing all they could. The manager was always available to discuss my repair.

Despite leaving my car from 10am until 11am the following dat it did not get washed due to an oversight. As my car was in for a recall and I had to return it at no inconsiderable inconvenience to me I thought this was poor.
Booking not known when arrived, kept waiting, repair and work not completed satisfactorily.
As a casual caller I was treated very politely and was dealt with as soon as possible.

I wanted to have a car advanced eye fitted with my service. I visited bmw hub to price item. On the hub my car wasn't compatible with the car eye offered by the service department. I lost confidence and decided to go elsewhere.
No delays and clear explanation of work done
Not handed check sheet. Had to ask for it then when given there was an item that needed attention. Had I not asked then I would not have know there was a fault. Replacement sat nav not fitted correctly. Had to take car back following day for that to
Was told that the service would be only an hour when booking and that I would need to wait. When I arrived was told 2 hours there is not enough space in this box to explain the wider impact this had on me and my family/childcare.

Because my last service wasn't completed and it seems like the onus was put on me to get the car in to have the job finished.
Would be a 5 but seems difficult to get appointments until months ahead Very promptly completed the worksas I mentioned I would appreciate the car back sooner that day.
Only reason why I gave a 3.5 and not a 5 was because I was going to be charged more than initially quoted for my service.
No drama with service but again this delay to drop off and collect car,wash was ok but price had gone up from 256 quoted in Feb to 314 for a basic service and brake fluid change.

Again they need more people operating the phones. Surely if they're busy the phones should divert to other staff.

Excellent valet. Not particularly happy with a quote of £70 for brake fluid change even though vehicle was still under the 5 year service contract.
No concerns, recall repair completed, and good communication
Arrived @ 08.00, promptly attended to & requested vehicle for 14.00/14.30. Received updates as to work required via text & authorised by return. Then received call that Vehicle ready prior to requested time!

Even though my car went in for an oil change and ended up being with the BMW service center for 2 weeks because of a software upgrade fault. The people at the BMW Center couldn't have been better. Great aftersales care. Well done Kevin.

On way home noticed light had come on advising of fault. Had to use my wife's 3 series which is a tight squeeze with 3 children. When reported told to ring BMW assistance. They came out same day to find a plug not replaced in socket. Very shoddy work
I was told initially to remo ve the lines which appear on my car after rain by 1,rubbbing them with my finger. 2 buy a good quality wax and polish them off(I am 71 a nd in a wheelchair) it was not until Mike Whatling got involved things are being sor

Service is second to none. Wife has a Ford you drop her car off no class at all You drop my BMW off you have arrived to another level.
I got a text to say my car was ready which is great. However, when I turned up at the dealer I had to wait 15 minute for my car to be handed back. Not acceptable.
Fault was diagnosed and repaired efficiently.

The vehicle was recalled due to an EGR fault. A new part was fitted by Halliwell Jones and my vehicle was returned to me but the problem persisted and got worse. I returned the vehicle to H.J.C. again for an associated part to be replaced.
The service team looked after me and kept me informed over the factory recall.
Please see previous comments. I am however pleased with the overall workmanship & the care which taken working on my vehicle.
Work done very quickly and car valeted
Lots wasted time and nothing gained. A cost to myself. Tyre valves incorectly fitted not resolved until 3rd vist. Steering rack not replaced after being told defective.2 days wasted Etc etc. I will never be going back or recommending!

Work carried out as agreed. Few problems during the works but continually kept up to date with the situation and when the car would be ready.
as above all show, we had to bring car back for urgent work because no one called to tell us it needed spring fixing while doing service this wasted at least 4-5 hrs of our time! and wasted journeys too! the service manager was dumbfounded too!
The people were brilliant, but the process could have been improved if I had been given a time slot so I did not have to wait for so long after dropping off at 9am and having to wait until it was finished in the workshop.
Booked the car in for it's first service and was asked if I would like to know how much it would cost, replied
I had to wait longer than I expected. The car was not cleaned as promised, although I was given the offer of returning on another day. Some of my settings had changed or lost, without being reset.
As I had a bad time with my purchase and on returning with a problem that should Not occur this is in respective of my score.
Difficult to get a loan car or collect and deliver, otherwise all good.

Three, perhaps four separate people dealt with me on each day I arrived for my appointment. It is no wonder that instructions are perhaps miss-interpreted and agreements not adhered to, unless there is also a degree of incompetence.
The checking in process could do with some improvement. Waiting time between reception desk and contact with a service advisor was far too long. Also wasn't too impressed with having to pay for a service that I believed was covered by my service pack

The reception area is nice and welcoming, the service is very professional and clean administered by very polite staff. I was kept well informed and the car was available earlier than plans.
Everything was as I was told it would be except he service took half an hour less which was a bonus

It was only not 5 stars as I had to reset a number of the technology settings, including repairing my phone etc. I wasn't aware this would happen, so a heads up on that and even and offer to assist me sort it, would have given 5 stars.
Jon made the whole experience easy and quick. Gave us loads of Info and explained new features. Whilst you hav a handbook it's nice to get personal advice and pointers

The whole experience was so easy
Delivery was very prompt and even though we had a small issue with the number plates on collection Stephen was extremely quick in rectifying it.
Dealing with the same sales person helped the process which proved, again, smooth and met my needs completely.
Despite raising it previously we are still waiting on an accessory after 2 weeks preventing us using the tow bar. We had to chase paperwork. We had to pay interest by taking out unwanted finance for the discount. We spent over 50k and no drink
